The Chimbote Foundation’s Mission

The Chimbote Foundation was created to provide a bridge of love, hope, faith and financial support to care for the poorest of the poor in Chimbote through the Center for Social Works – a maternity hospital, outpatient clinic, clinical laboratory, pharmacy and home for abandoned and neglected children – serving hundreds of thousands since the mid-1960s.

57th Annual Peru Mission Virtual Dinner

Please watch our 2022 Chimbote Mission video as we honor life – the life-giving, life-sustaining and life-affirming ministry of our Catholic medical missionaries in Chimbote, Peru.

Our dear friend of Chimbote, Mike Clark, distinguished news anchor for WTAE-TV, once again volunteered to be our dinner’s Master of Ceremonies. The evening’s presentations included updates from Chimbote Mission co-founders, Sister Margaret Mary Birchmeier and Sister Lillian Bockheim. Clergy from the Diocese of Chimbote spoke about the impact the Center of Social Works has had on the people, and, of course, special remarks from our Bishop David Zubik.

The Chimbote Foundation’s 2022 Virtual Dinner was a tremendous success! You can still donate.
