Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, in lieu of our October 13, 2020 annual dinner, we’ll be presenting a video on November 12 describing the impact of the pandemic on the Center and how you can help.
The Chimbote Foundation’s Mission
The Chimbote Foundation was created to provide a bridge of love, hope, faith and financial support to care for the poorest of the poor in Chimbote through the Center for Social Works – a maternity hospital, outpatient clinic, clinical laboratory, pharmacy and home for abandoned and neglected children – serving hundreds of thousands since the mid-1960s.

Visit this page on November 12 to see our 2020 video.
This year, we will not have our annual dinner, but encourage you to visit this website on November 12 to view a video describing the impact of the pandemic on the Center, our personnel and the poor whom we serve. Then, please consider a donation to support the Mission in this unprecedented time to strengthen our bridge from Pittsburgh to Chimbote. Your donation will provide critical medical help to the people who need our support in Chimbote.
After a discussion with Fr. DiNardo, the Vicar General, and Dolores Nypaver, the Director of the stewardship office, and Deacon Rick Tucek, it has been decided this year that the Peru mission trips are cancelled because of the coronavirus. This step was taken out of an abundance of caution for the missionaries and the people of Chimbote.
Thank you to all who had the willingness to travel to help the poorest of the poor.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the 2020 Chimbote Foundation Annual Golf Outing has been cancelled. However, you can still donate to this worthy cause.
