The Chimbote Foundation’s Mission
The Chimbote Foundation was created to provide a bridge of love, hope, faith and financial support to care for the poorest of the poor in Chimbote through the Center for Social Works – a maternity hospital, outpatient clinic, clinical laboratory, pharmacy and home for abandoned and neglected children – serving hundreds of thousands since the mid-1960s.

CHIMBOTE MISSION VIDEO
A Bridge of Love and Hope
See the inspiring story of a Catholic healthcare mission serving the poorest of the poor in Chimbote, Peru for more than a half century through good times and challenging times. It shows how the faithful in the six counties of our diocese have maintained and strengthened a bridge of love and hope for the people of Chimbote. The completion of the new medical clinic is a loving recommitment to our brothers and sisters in need now and in the future. It is a celebration of infants yet to be born, the mothers and families, and the elderly infirm. Walk with Dr. Dennis Woytek, award-winning videographer and 2017 mission team member, through the barrios where the destitute poor live; and witness the live-giving, life-sustaining service provided in our maternity hospital, clinic, laboratory, pharmacy and children’s shelter.
